← Return to the Emissions Reduction Hub
The City is considering adding Mobi stations to public parks in an effort to reduce emissions.
Bike share is a service that makes public bicycles available for shared use to individuals on a short-term basis. The bikes can be unlocked from one station and returned to any station in the system, making bike share ideal for short, one-way trips.
Through the rental revenue, the bikes could be placed in parks at no cost to citizens. Please discuss below whether or not you would like to see a bike share program in our public parks.

Risks of vandalism?
AnonymousWe have an issue with vandalism in our public parks. I don't want to see the bikes implemented only to have them vandalized. It would be an eyesore.
Worth it [1]
AnonymousPersonally, I don't think it would be that big of an issue and I think that the benefits of more public-transit would outweigh the possibility of it being a bit of an eyesore in the park.
I would love to see this in my local park [2]
AnonymousI've used public-use bikes in other cities and loved it! I think it's especially great for tourists who are in the city and looking for a way to get around.
Safety [4]
Dylan [3]I think this is a great idea... as long as the bikes come with helmets!
